A conversation on Love and Mindfulness in Governance, with Alessa Fetzer and Johannes Alber
💡What if governance decisions were developed through the lenses of love and mindfulness? Join us for an evening with Hertie School Berlin graduates Alessa Fetzer and Johannes Alber. Both will present their thesis findings on the topics of love in policy making and mindfulness in democratic thinking and will transfer it to governance and leadership. In an interactive and conversational approach, we will discuss current international cases from politics and economics in breakout groups. The aim of the evening is to share new perspectives and to facilitate a radical thought experiment.
Researching love in policy making, Alessa will share insights on how love can be sustained in leadership and governance. Johannes will share insights on how mindfulness can positively influence democratic thinking. Both research fields show an innovative approach to governance which can lead to a more communal way of decision making and connection through empathy and compassion. And hey - news show how important resilient and strong democratic societies are to withstand attacks from the in- and outside.
