The ToU Case Study Pitch Competition is a community initiative designed to give learners the opportunity to work collaboratively on a real-world style business case, develop creative and strategic thinking, and present solutions in a fast-paced 3-minute pitch to a panel of professionals. The competition is focused on building practical problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and presentation skills in a supportive and engaging environment.
This opportunity is open to learners across ToU who are interested in exploring ideas, developing confidence, and strengthening their ability to think critically under pressure. No prior experience is required, just a willingness to participate, collaborate, and contribute creatively. Groups will be assigned from participants across ToU to encourage collaboration between different learners and programmes.
Throughout the competition, participants will gain experience working within a team, analyzing a case study, developing concise solutions, and presenting ideas clearly and confidently within a limited timeframe. The experience is designed to help learners strengthen both professional and interpersonal skills while gaining exposure to a presentation environment similar to those used in industry and workplace settings.
The competition will begin with a kick-off session, during which participants will receive the case study and be assigned to their groups. Teams will then work together independently to identify key issues within the case and develop a proposed solution. A midway, non-mandatory support session will also be offered, providing participants with the opportunity to ask questions about expectations, timelines, and presentation requirements. While guidance on the competition process will be available, direct advice or solutions relating to the case study itself will not be provided.
